The ride takes us from Fradley through the Staffordshire and South Derbyshire countryside to the Courtside Cafe in Grangewood where we will stop for refreshments before returning to Fradley Junction. The route inevitably follows some short sections of main roads but we will mostly be on quiet back lanes and country roads. There are hills but they are not to demanding and we will ride at a realistic pace and take time to get our breath back.

This route is a ride for those who may be wanting to start or get back into cycling but need help with the confidence and motivation to achieve this. The ride is to assist with being confident with riding with other people or groups and feeling safe whilst riding on roads.

We will stop at the Courtside Cafe (previously The Trough) in Grangewood. We will stop when needed to take on water en route.

Helmets should be worn. Money for refreshments, water and some type of food such as flapjacks, cereal or energy bars should be carried in case there are issues or delays at the scheduled stops as Cafes tend to get very busy these days. According to the guidelines issued by British Cycling riders must be self-sufficient, bringing tools, a puncture repair kit, and a spare innertube so punctures can be repaired.

We never leave anyone behind
