Starting point

Nottinghamshire
NG1 7FE

Setting off from the train station along Queens Walk and over the Trent via the Wilford Suspension Bridge, through West Bridgford to Gamston. From here it's off road for many a mile courtesy of the Grantham Canal. Just before Cotgrave we join the old colliery line, now a designated cycle route, to Radcliffe. Great views on each side of the embankment and across the A52, down a ramp to join Adbolton Lane (Nottingham's Paris Roubaix). Once around the watersports centre we follow the Trent and back through Meadows along Arkwright Walk to the station.

We'll have a drink at the cafe/bar at the former Hop and Hopkinsons shop on Station Street to finish off.
