SE10 9HT

Beside the tunnel entrance, Cutty Sark, Greenwich SE10 9HT

Easy paced ride from Cutty Sark, Greenwich. Start/finish beside the foot tunnel entrance. The probable route is Foot Tunnel to Island Gardens - Thames Path to Millwall Inner Dock - Over to Canary Wharf, walk over footbridge, offices, Trafalgar Road. Underpass and CS3 to Bow Creek and Trinity Buoy Wharf. Up and over the A120. Dock Road and out onto Victoria Dock. Over Connaught Bridge and into Thames Barrier Park meander through this as it has many paths and bridges. There is a cafe and loos so might be our coffee stop. A long stretch around the Airport and back over Connaught Bridge heading towards Trinity Buoy Wharf. Stop this time to look around then on to West India Dock, back along the east side of Isle of Dogs to Greenwich foot tunnel. 18 miles and no serious hills, just a few upslopes to flyover/bridge/out of tunnel. Note route may well differ in detail on the day. Amanda leading.
This ride is part of our regular Healthy Rides series using as far as possible paths and quiet roads. This is a 3rd Saturday “+” ride taking 3.5 hours. More information on Southwark Cyclists Healthy Rides at www.healthyrider.weebly.com
