There are a few challenging hills on this ride. Cycle the hills at your own pace and we will always re-group at the top.
The route heads towards Rowlands Castle and onto West Marden passing the Victoria Inn. There is a steep hill of approximately ½ mile near Finchdean followed by a steep descent to West Marden. Passing through Walderton and towards Funtington where there is a steep but short climb. We cycle through Funtington Village and along the undulating Downs Road to Kingley Vale. After passing the Kingley Vale Nature Reserve, we cycle to West Stoke and take a break at Design Vintage. Design Vintage is a cafe and interesting home accessories showroom located in a beautiful converted barn.
The return route is less hilly and only 9 miles with a short section (1/3 mile) on the busier Emsworth Common Road. We return to Havant via West Ashling, Woodmancote and Westbourne.
Havant Leisure Centre has a pay and display car park (£1 for unlimited parking at weekends) and is also just a short distance from the station.
