Harewood Coaster - 20 mile bike ride to the Harewod Estate via Eccup and Weardley.

This is a great out and back ride starting at Moor Allerton library.

This route takes in part of the West Yorkshire cycle route before heading towards Harewood House via Eccup and Weardley. It's a mixture of cycle path, quiet roads and some estate tracks. There are great views of the Wharfe valley towards Almscliffe Crag plus Eccup reservoir and the estate grounds where there's a good chance we'll see the deer and breeding colony of red kites.

Harewood is in the heart of Yorkshire and is one of the Treasure Houses of England. The House was built in the 18th century and has art collections to rival the finest in the land.

We'll have a midway break at the Muddy Boots cafe in Harewood.

Please bring clothing appropriate for the weather, cash for the cafe, a drink, a snack and a spare inner tube to fit your bike.

There are some hills on the way back but we'll get you up them. There are a couple of gates to navigate but we'll help each other out. No-one will be left behind.
