Kenton Recreation Ground, Harrow

See how quickly you can escape the busy streets of North West London to get to the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire countryside!

This route uses the capital's better roads for cycling to get out to some beautiful country lanes. We'll pass through Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross before visiting the stunning Burnham Beeches nature reserve before a well earned breather and a stop at Costa Coffee. We'll complete this 43 mile circular route by passing Pinewood Studios then go through Uxbridge and Hillingdon to return to our starting point. This route has a total of 1,701 feet of climbs, maximum gradient of 9.5% and the pace is expected to average 10-11 mph over the ride but the pace will be dependent on the abilities of the participants on the day.

eBikes are welcome.

All participants are expected to bring:
• A bike in good working order with tyres pumped to the correct pressure. Please conduct a pre-ride safety check on your bike.
• A cycle helmet.
• Carry at least a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers.
• Dress for the expected weather.
• A drink and snack.
• Lights if there is any chance of poor visibility.
