Hathersage to Edale - Ride the Hope Valley

We start in the car park opposite the Hathersage swimming pool on Oddfellows Road S32 !DR. The ride starts form the car park from where we will join the Hathersage Road and head towards Hope along the valley bottom. Most of this stretch has a reasonable cycle path and gives us all a chance to get our legs moving on this flat part of the ride. On arrival in Hope we will have a short break before heading north to the wonderful village of Edale. The road between Hope and Edale has a few gentle climbs which we will take the speed of the slowest member of our group. We will have our break in the Cooper’s Filed Café in Edale and so bring some money.
After our break we re-trace our steps to return to Hathersage which will be gently downhill or flat and so not too taxing.
Please remember to bring some water and maybe a fruit bar or similar to keep you going.
We may alter the route and places visited over the Autumn but the start point will stay the same. Suggestion form the group will ne weclome.
