Our last group ride of the Festival on the 8 September is the longest and hilliest and is about 15 miles long. We follow the same road to Cogsmill but this time we climb the hill and take the turning to the left along past Earlside Farm and over to the Bonchester Road. From there we head back into Hawick. We have climbed to the top of the heights between Hawick and Bonchester so there is a bit of a decent from there then we follow the twists and turns of the road back to Hawick. We will come back into Hawick along Weensland Road.

This is the third and most challenging of the three Let's Ride group rides during the Hawick Festival of Cycling. It's 15 miles long and follows a circular course from Hawick by way of Earlside.

The roads are quiet with the A6088 from Bonchester to Hawick and then along Weensland Road the busiest sections. The rest is on quiet country roads.

We'll take a breather at the tops of the climbs and give everyone time to recover. No one gets dropped. We start together and finish together. Lidl Hawick are providing us with refreshments for the ride which you can take with you or collect at the finish.

Helmets and appropriate clothing are essential. Its also worth bringing a spare inner tube and the tools required to change the tube if you get a puncture.

We never leave anyone behind
