This is a medium length, hilly route designed for ladies to practice their hill climbing. Affording fabulous views of the Lancashire countryside. Mostly because we are high up on hills!

It is not suitable for beginners.
We will regroup at the top of the hills so no one gets left behind. This means the faster ladies may have a longer breather!

Approx average speed of 10mph over the ride.

Starting from the War Memorial car park we go down the A6 and then the climbs begin. Up hill top lane, Denham lane and into Brindle. Over the motorway and up to Hoghton. We then veer off towards Salmesbury bottoms and Roach bridge. We then drop into Gregson lane and then up Kittlingborne. The Cafe stop is in Bamber Bridge. Then onto Walton Summit, up at the side of Clayton Brook, Chorley old Rd back down onto the A6 Back to the start.

A hilly route with a few extra hills and a great cafe stop.

Mostly quiet roads with a couple of busy stretches. Small sections of cycle path.

Stopping at valley coffee in Bamber Bridge. A newly discovered cafe for me but a great stop off point.

Helmets please on my rides. Card/cash for cafe. Spare inner tube and means to inflate. Please dress for the weather conditions. Layers are best. Make sure your bike is in good working order.

We never leave anyone behind
