Starting from - The meeting point is the end of Unity Place, Buckshaw Village, PR7 7HZ (the end of the road between the school and medical centre) - look for the ride leaders.

Most participants should be able to ride locally to the start. If you need to drive to the ride then please park legally and considerately, ideally on the road in Unity Place. You should not park in the car parks outside the surgery, community centre nor the car park with barriers (that is reserved for customers of The Hub). Your help and understanding on posting is appreciated.

An ideal ride for families this introductory ride uses segregated cycle paths to ride from Unity Place in Buckshaw Village (between the school and the medical centre) on a relatively flat route to the playground in Astley Park taking in the historic Astley Hall.

There will be time to stop at the playground for the grown-ups to rest and the younger ones to play before returning to Buckshaw Village. Toilets and refreshments (if you don't carry your own) are available in Astley Park.

At the end of the ride you can optionally treat yourself to a coffee, slushy or ice-cream at The Hub Cafe (located next to the Community Centre). This guided ride is being supported by Ribble Valley Juniors who are experienced in supporting fun family cycle rides, events and coaching.
