This is a day ride and a chance for mere mortals to take on a 50 mile scenic, hilly route in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere! : ) We will be pacing the ride to average around 10-11 mph over the Chiltern Hills, to make the distance 'do-able', to give more folks the opportunity to take on the route! :) The route is designed to take in all the 'musts' of the Ashridge National Park: from climbing up the hill from Berkhamsted Castle to Ashridge House, to al fresco refreshments at Brownlows, to descending the Ivinghoe Beacon, before climbing back up & over & down into Aldbury, to then climb Tom's Hill to descend into Northchurch & perhaps see the Ashridge deer on the way! : ) This route has nearly 1000m of climbing in total so is a truly 'Challenging Plus' Route. If you've cycled 30 miles before over a hilly, Challenging route, and want to ride further and climb higher - this one's for you, and we'll support you all the way! : )

Brian Johnson will be you Ride Leader, help put you at ease and help you enjoy a great day out on your bike! :)
