We will head out from ASDA at Spondon on the cycle path on Nottingham Road and turn left down Raynesway, keeping on the cycle path. On crossing Raynesway at the traffic light controlled crossing, we will proceed along the cycle path adjacent to the A52 to Highfields Road. We will then cross the pedestrian/cycle bridge over the A52 and proceed along the cycle path past Costco to the Riverside path. From here we will cycle to the Bass Recreation Ground and pick up the cycle path at Meadow Lane to Exeter Bridge. From Exeter Bridge we will ride down to the Market Place.

A one-off special ride in support of International Women's Day 2020. This ride differs from the usual Breeze ride in that it aims to encourage women to commute into Derby City Centre using traffic free routes and reduce the fear of cycling around a city centre. As part of the 'Inspiration, advice & support for girls and women who want to cycle' campaign run by Love To Ride Derby, this ride will meet up with other Breeze rides at the Quad in Derby Market Place where there will be IWD 2020 events taking place.

The majority of the route is traffic free. We will cross one side road, a major road using a traffic light controlled crossing, and have a short ride down a quiet side street. We will also ride exit the Riverside path to ride over Exeter Bridge in Derby City Centre to get to the Market Square. All of the route is tarmac so should be fine for both road bikes and hybrids

We will stop at the cafe in the Quad and spend some time looking at the IWD 2020 events before heading back.

Though mostly traffic free, I would always recommend you wear a helmet. Please bring money for the café

We never leave anyone behind
