If you have previously ridden our popular short routes from Warwick University or would
like to build up on the distance you ride, then this route is for you!
From the university, we head out along the traffic-free Connect to
Kenilworth route which leads us onto the picturesque Kenilworth Greenway.
Riding north-west for a couple of miles we come off the Greenway at Burton Green and
begin an easy, mainly dowhill descent into Kenilworth with superb views of the castle.
At the western entrance to Abbey Fields we dismount and walk across the park, alongside
the lake, and begin our return journey to the university via the Kenilworth
Greenway once more.
We have a choice of refreshment stops along the way, or can finish with tea and cake at
the 'Curiositea' cafe back at the university.
