From the leisure centre in Kendal the route heads out towards Holme and Burton-in-Kendal. We cycle through the village of Priest Hutton, Hornby and Melling. There will be a lunch stop in Kirby Lonsdale before heading towards Barbondale. We will visit the picturesque 'book town' of Sedbergh - surrounded by the Howgill Fells and moorland hills, this is a beautiful area for a bike ride.

This is a stunning ride from the off. There are some beautiful views to take in on the way that can be discussed over a well-earned drink and snack at half distance. Some climbing but nothing too steep.

We will cycle mainly on quiet country roads, some riding on B and A roads.

There are plenty of places to grab a bite to eat, so remember to bring some money for cake, coffee or whatever takes your fancy. We will stop along the way to admire the views.

Helmets and spare inner tubes are advisable. Please bring snacks and drinks.

We especially welcome newbies!
