Kirklees Riders - 100th Anniversary Armistice Ride

This Sunday’s ride will start out along the Spen Valley Greenway to Heckmondwyke but then cut back down Heckmondwyke Road and head into Crow Nest Park Dewsbury to observe the 11-00 hrs two minutes silence at the War Memorial.
From there we can follow Dewsbury Gate Road to Healey before dropping down into Batley for a circuit of Wilton Park.
We will head back to Leggers from there.
There are a few hills on this ride so please be prepared to accept the challenge.

This Sunday’s ride will head to Heckmondwyke and then Crow Nest Park Dewsbury where we will observe the two minutes silence at the War Memorial. We can then complete a circuit of Wilton Park, Batley before heading back to Leggers.

We will travel along a combination of greenways and tarmac roads. We will encounter a reasonable amount of traffic on the tarmac sections so riders will need to be confident in those situations. Mountain bikes or hybrids with off-road tyres are more suited to this ride. Road tyres could struggle in places.

Helmets are mandatory on this ride.
