Kirklees Riders - The Leggers Inn to Newmillerdam

The ride will leave Leggers and head up the Ossett Greenway before passing through Horbury town centre, down and along Green Lane then on towards Pugneys. From there it's up Slack Lane and then back down to the dam..
We can decide on the day whether to reverse the route for the return journey or alternatively to head for The Navigation Inn and follow the Calder & Hebble Navigation back to Leggers via Horbury Bridge.

This Sunday’s ride will head out to Newmillerdam on the outskirts of Wakefield.

We will travel along a combination of canal towpaths, greenways and tarmac roads. We will encounter a moderate amount of traffic on the tarmac sections so riders will need to be confident in those situations. Mountain bikes or hybrids with off-road tyres are more suited to this ride. Road tyres may struggle in places.

Helmets are mandatory on this ride.
