• At arrival at the start location, and when stopping in a group please keep to social distancing regulations of 2m.
• We will ride taking social distancing into account. At the time of writing British Cycling recommend riding at least 1m apart.

• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms during a ride must inform a leader.
• Anyone who develops COVID-19 symptoms after a ride must contact the leader who will inform British Cycling HQ who will then contact everyone who attended the ride. Do not attend this ride if you have been told to self-isolate due to travel or coming in close contact with someone who has tested positive. You can contact the leader directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on let’s ride unless you have their direct contact details already

A 12 mile route starting at Harpenden Cycles, heading out towards Nomansland and Sandridge before heading back. Ideal for those who are getting back into cycling and are not quite ready for longer/ faster rides and those who just want to enjoy some fresh air and hopefully warm dry weather!

We aim for an average speed of 9-10mph staying mainly on quieter country lanes but there is a short stretch on a busier road. The ride is suitable for all bicycle types.

There is no formal break on this ride but we will have some brief stops along the way, to catch our breath, admire the views and so on, so you may want to bring a snack and don't forget a drink too. The aim is to get back well before the sun sets.

Please wear a helmet, and aim to wear something bright/high vis as it can be shady along some of the lanes. If you have them bring working lights.
