Bike Park

If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. This night time ride will take you out to the Abbey Pumping Station where the magnificent 'Gimson' Beam Engines will be in steam. You will have an opportunity to look at the various working exhibits before descending into the bowels of the pumping station to hear the tale of the 'Ghostly Engineer' from one of the museum's expert guides. On the journey to the Pumping Station you will pass by a number of Leicester's haunted sites where your ride leader will recount the stories behind the haunting's As this ride will be in darkness it will require that you have good working lights.
