Leigh / Cadishead /Irlam /Worsley Mystery Tour

This is another new route ive been working on , thanks to keith Gornall , Michael holt , and Tony Smith for your help whilst working this route out . It consists of pathways , cycle paths , tow paths , quiet roads and a couple of very small bits of busy roads .All are suitable for CX , hybrids and road bikes with care , there are a few gentle climbs but nothing too taxing , we also take in the new busway which is absolutely brilliant for us .

We will stop for lunch at either The Old Boathouse at Astley , or a couple of miles further on there is another pub called The Moorings .

Please make sure you are fit enough to complete a 30 mile bike ride , we ride at a social pace so we can have a chat and enjoy the views .
Also please make sure you check your bike over the night before and carry a couple of spare innertubes and a means of inflating them .
Now for the serious bit , no one must go forward of the front ride leader , it is not a race , anyone who does will be asked to leave the ride , as safety is priority on the rides .Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to get your kit and bikes ready , there are toilets available at the sports centre if you ask them nicely .
