Leaving Shrivenham we head for Ashbury and then Lambourne, then our route to coffe goes via Baydon and down to Aldbourne (you'll glad you are going down this one not up) At the 15 mile point we stop for coffee and that leaves us 10 to get back via Fox Hill and Bourton

A ride with some climbs but the rewards of greatviews and great coffee and even better cake are worth stretching legs for. The climbs in the elevation profile really do look worse than they really are.

We will be on B roads and country lanes the whole time. I would leave your mountain bike with its knobbly tyres behind and get you hybrid, e bike or road bike out for this one.

We plan to stop at the very pleasant "Time At The Forge" with cycle parking at the back and out of sight

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. Please bring a face mask; you have to wear it on entering a café and in the event of first aid being required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the coffee stop. Some café’s only take card payments.

We welcome new comers to our ride group, but we want you to enjoy the ride so please consider the route, distance and terrain. If this ride is likely to be a bit difficult then check out our other rides which we put on for newbies and returners and join us on something easier
