Little Lanes: A Spring Weekend in the New Forest (Saturday)

This is the link for Saturday's ride on our 2-day overnight micro bikepacking weekend away in April, staying at YHA New Forest in Burley.

RIDE PLAN. SAT: Forest National Park 35-40miles. SUN: Lymington 20-25miles

Road hybrids, road bikes; adventure, cx, touring bikes particularly if equipped with 28mm+ tyres. Flat or clip-in pedals. Averaging 18-20kph/11-12.5mph over the distance, pace of slowest. We should be to leave our overnight saddlepacks / backpacks at the YHA during both Saturday and Sunday's rides.

ACCOMMODATION. YHA New Forest, Cott Lane, Burley, Hampshire BH24 4BB. We have secured 2 private rooms (bunk beds). £25pp/night. We can wash and dry our cycling kit overnight using the YHA’s washing machine and tumble dryer (bring a large laundry net, and a small laundry net for bra’s with hooks)

GETTING THERE. SAT: Dep. 06:37 Clapham Junction. Arr. 08:21 Sway. SUN: Dep. 15:28/16:28 Sway, Arr. 17:14/18:14 Clapham Junction. Sway station in Lymington is 5.5miles from the YHA. A Breeze Champion will meet your train (by bike) on Saturday, and see you back to the station on Sunday.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? YHA £25/night. Train £32rtn railcard/groupsave, or £48. Included: bed linen, washing machine, tea/coffee/toast. Excluded: towels (can be hired), Saturday night pub supper (for those who wish), meals.
