Long Distance Traveller B

Starting from the Farmers Arms, Burscough we head across towards Formby and the Sefton Coastal Path where we head south to our first stop at Waterloo Place. We then continue south to Liverpool and the famous waterfront, Pier Head, Beatles Statues and the Albert Dock. Continuing south along the riverside to Grassendale were we head inland to circumvent Garston Docks. we then continue on to Speke Hall and a second stop before returning along the Liverpool Loop Line to Aintree and the racecourse. We will then take to the roads through Melling then on to Ormskirk and finally returning to the Farmers Arms for some well earned refreshments. We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 14 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together. Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group! Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you. I cannot upload the route as it is more than 50 miles.
