Starting point

Greater Manchester
M11 4TE

A slightly shorter ride to get us back into riding after the cold weather, but with a good couple of climbs. Please bring appropriate clothing, food/drink etc. There are a few stops in Alderley Edge that we can choose from which is just after the half way mark.
There is one good but short climb after Pott Shrigley near Blaze Hill (but we won't be going up that one!) so you can choose either to walk up or just go for it. We will of course wait for you at the top/junction.

Please meet at the velodrome at 09:15 with a view to leaving by 09:30

We will aim to get to Wythenshawe Park for 10:00, please be there for then to be ready to leave for 10:15. We will definitely wait there for you till then :)

This will be an easy going pace with a few stops along the way (particularly after the main climb) and to take in some of the scenery - so this isn't for those wanting a heads down bums up kind of ride. We will of course wait for anyone to catch up and let them get their breath back / drink / feed etc.

This will form the first part of a series of rides aiming at building up climbing and mileage skills. It is therefore meant to be relatively easy. Hybrid/Cyclocross/Road bikes.

Mileage:- 51.7mi
Elevation:- 2731ft

Please double check the elevation and have a look at the route. There is a shortcut that you can use to miss out the main climb, but we can't say how long you'd be waiting for.
