Marvellous Millhouses Circular

This hilly road ride offers some fantastic views across Sheffield and the Peak District, with some lovely undulating roads, as well as a couple of climbs to get your legs working.

We will set off from Millhouses Park and along Abbeydale Road South and Baslow Road into a steady climb (about 2 miles at an average gradient of 4%) up into North East Derbyshire. Our climbing will be rewarded with beautiful views across to Sheffield on one side, and the Peak District on the other. We will follow the road through the lovely village of Holmesfield and onto Bradway, eventually dropping down into Greenhill and returning to Millhouses Park via Hutcliffe Wood Road, where we can enjoy a well-earned brew and a cake.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order and bring a spare inner tube, mutli-tool/spanner, pump and a drink with you. Helmets are advised but not compulsory.

Please note - some of the roads on this ride can be fairly busy - the traffic is fast moving and cars will overtake us quickly. If you are worried about your confidence on faster roads we will look after you, but do get in touch if you want to ask any questions about it, or if you would like any suggestions about other rides on quieter roads. ☺
