Starting from - We start and finish on the village green in Monyash. There is a small car park and on-road parking. Unfortunately there are no 'facilities' the nearest being at Parsley Hay on the Tissington Trail.
I will be riding from Friden Car Park (SK17607) at 9.30am. This will involve an extra 18km and 155m of climb. Please let me know if you would like to join me.
The time allowance for this ride assumes around 10mph (around 2 hours) for riding the main ride, the extra time being for exploring The Magpie Mine and cafe.
The ride is an undulating 28km with around 350m climb (nothing too tough in the main ride but a good pull up back to Friden if you choose the extended ride). DE45 1JH

Exploring the lanes around Monyash, Flagg, Chelmorton and Sheldon.

Towards the end of the ride we will stop and explore The Magpie Mine - it was the last working, and is described as the best surviving example of a 19th Century Lead mine. At the end of the ride we will visit The Old Smithy Cafe for refreshments.

Helmets are advised along with inner tube etc 'just in case'.
