Melrose and Scotts View

Heading out from the Firestation to Lilliesleaf where we will head through the village and on towards Melrose, heading past the golf course before arriving in the town where we will stop for a refreshment, possibly the glasshouse, before cycling past Melrose Abbey and onto Newstead. Here we will take the old road, which is now closed to traffic, past the Trimontium Roman Fort before crossing the river Tweed over the Drygrange Bridge where we will turn right and follow on this road. We will pedal up to Scott's View where we can stop and take some photographs. At Bemersyde we will take a right turn before taking a left turn at the next T junction. At Clintmains we will take a right turn, before taking another right turn at the next T junction. We will head back via Longnewton and through Bewlie before heading to Greenhouse and back onto the Lilliesleaf road before heading back into town.
