This is a very easy-going ride, for those who are wanting a relaxing weekend ride. We will ride at the pace that is best suited to everyone in the group, usually between 6-9 mph. As leaders we will ensure that no one is left behind, so that all the group can have an enjoyable ride.
We will be riding approximately 8 miles starting on quiet country lanes and returning on the traffic free cycle track, called ‘The Nickey Line'. The Nickey Line is a disused railway line that is now accessible for cycling and walking. This beautiful, shady track has been unspoilt with tarmac so can be a little bumpy and muddy in places.
We will be returning to the Dacorum Cycle Hub for Debbie's lovely home made cake or lunch and a chat.
Please remember to bring,
Two spare innertubes for your bike, even if you do not know how to change them, someone in the group will, as well as the appropriate tools (tyre levers)
A waterbottle with a drink in, riding can be very thirsty work.
Cycle helmet, for your own safety.
Appropriate clothing for the weather
Money for a drink and cake at our cake stop
Please consider adding lights to your bike, and wearing some high vis clothing, to help other road users see you.
