After a pre-ride briefing and bike check, the humdrum of Walton Summit is soon left behind, as riders join the quieter ring-road that circumnavigates Clayton Brook. The group begins a gradual climb up to the outskirts of Brindle. Using quiet country lanes, the group circumnavigates Denham Quarry and drops down towards Whittle le Woods. After crossing the A6, the riders enter the beautiful haven of Cuerden Valley Park, using the valley bottom cycle route to travel back to Bamber Bridge. Here, a clever, network of traffic free cycle routes are used to link back across to Walton Summit and Sceptre point.

Short, sociable rides to round off your day - get more out of Mondays!

Quiet back roads and traffic free cycle routes and greenways

There are no scheduled stops during the ride. The group will ride together at a continuous, sociable pace.

Please bring a drink and snack. Riders under 16 must wear a correctly fitting bike helmet. Please bring a spare inner tube that fits the size of your bike wheel tol enable a swift repair, in the event of a puncture. Please dress appropriately for the forecast weather conditions. If you have a long term health condition that you feel Ride Leader should know about, you can inform them of this and any self-medication plan, in confidence, prior to the start of the ride. As places are limited, to ensure a safe leader ratio, you are strongly advised to book online to avoid disappointment. On the day, if numbers exceed places, priority will be given to those who have pre-booked.

Cycle miles generate smiles!
