New Year's Eve to Giant Cafe

A nice ride, fairly level and quite scenic using a back road down to Saxilby before taking the lanes down towards Harby. There we will pick up the old railway cycle route (no traffic) and detour to Doddington Hall for a coffee before following the line up to the canal, and along the canal to Odder. From there we will head up to Broxholme, and across Tillbridge Lane, to Thorpe Le Fallows and back up to Stow fo rthe last leg back to Upton.

A nice ride with no real gradients to scale max climb 20m, avoiding most of the main roads.

A mixture of A roads, not much, single track rural lanes and a dedicated cycle/foot path.

About half way we will detour from the route shown to stop off at Giant Cafe Doddington Hall.

Helmets advised and please bring spare inner tube(s) and kit to fix punctures. Not to forget cash or card for refreshments.
