An easygoing 6 mile cycle, mainly traffic free, from Warwick University campus to Abbey Fields in Kenilworth and back. This route is an ideal opportunity, for those of you who may not have been out on a bike for a while or are new to cycling, to get out and stretch your legs without too much challenge.

From the university, we first make our way to Cryfield Pavillion where we join the traffic free ‘Connect 2 Kenilworth’ route heading for Abbey Fields café via the Kenilworth Greenway.
After a stop for refreshments at the café, we re-trace our steps on this picturesque route, through the countryside south of Coventry, back to the university.
We look forward to seeing you!

To kick off 2019, why not join us on this easygoing, traffic-free ride from Warwick University to Abbey Fields and back? You can kick-start your New Year Resolutions, burn off the mince pies or get on that lovely new bike you've had for Christmas - let's get those pedals turning!

Abbey Fields is our half-way point where we will aim to stop for refreshments at the park's café. Please note, this is not always open out of season if the park is quiet, so you may have to wait until we return to the university.

Dress for the weather - layers are always a good idea rather than one thick coat or jacket, and don't forget your gloves and perhaps a buff to keep your neck toastie. A reminder that riders under 18 must wear a helmet.

We always love to see new people joining us on our rides, and you can rest easy in the knowledge that we never leaveanyone behind. It's not a race, just an ideal opportinity to get out and meet new people, enjoy the fresh air and take in the lovely countryside surrounding Coventry. If this is your first ride with us, please bring a spare inner tube and pump with you just in case and some money for refreshments.
