Starting point

Swansea
SA4 3DF

A beautiful ride down the wooded Clyne Valley and around the sweep of Swansea Bay is a great start to any day.

Almost all the route is along a traffic-free section of route 4 of the National Cycle Network (NCN 4), although there are a few road crossings. It is mostly flat, with only a few gentle hills and a good tarmacked surface, so suitable for riders of all levels and all types of bike. The starting point is near Gowerton Railway Station if you want to join us from further afield.

We will be meeting by Gowerton CK's Supermarket at 8am, and riding to the Bay Campus, but if you want to join us at Dunvant (cycle path car park), Upper Killay (Railway Inn) or Blackpill (seaward side of pedestrian crossing), please sign up for the ride and message the leader to let me know, so we can arrange to rendezvous. Likewise, if you would like to ride to Singleton or the Civic Offices, we can easily make a short diversion, sign up and message me through Let's Ride. The full journey will take just over an hour at an easy pace. The return trip will set off from the Bay at 4pm - it will be going dark, and the Clyne Valley is unlit, so lights are essential.

All you need is a roadworthy bike (check brakes and tyres before setting off), working lights and a helmet.
