Not Down in Ampney

Out via Highworth Hannington and Luss Hill to Marston Meysey and Down Ampney before joining the Old Ermin Way for a short while before taking a traffic free bridge over the A419 to continue down to the cake stop in Cricklade. Then its back via Blunsden Station, Blunsden, Stanton FW and Sevenhampton. The hilly sections are at the beginning and end of the ride. The ones to watch are Luss Hill, The hill into Blunsden and the short grind out of Sevenhamption

Many roads will be familiar to the group, but this is the first time we will have visited Cricklade

Generally good country lanes, we try to keep off the main road but this ride will see us on the Highworth Blunsden road for a 1.25 generally straight and down hill section

Plenty of choice for a cake stop in Cricklade

For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or card for the coffee stop.
