Nottingham FLAB ride oxton to Velo Verde Cafe and back

This ride will be for those who like this ride to Velo verde but fancy a few extra miles. It is a regular ride with a bit extra. Ride along mostly country lanes to Cafe Velo Verde. Some slightly busier roads but only on them briefly. The cafe stop will be at Screveton. Then up through Flintham and some of the local villages back to Velo. Possible further pit stop if people need one then back to oxton. The pace will be 12mph and there are a couple of small hills plus one larger one but mostly a flat route. We will ride to the slowest rider, no-one is left behind. All types of bikes welcome.

This is a regular route, we can make it slightly longer depending on how people feel. It’s to a great cafe who look after all cyclists well.

Most of the roads are lanes but there is some more main roads that we have to drop onto.

Cafe Velo verde is a great cafe that certainly knows how to look after their clientele. Great coffee/ tea, cakes and savoury alternates.

Please make sure you bring your helmet, warm clothes, money.
