Starting from the picnic benches in the riverside car park, we’ll follow the lovely riverside foot/cycle path up to Nether Barr and along to Lamachan View. The riverside path is the only section that has two small inclines and two cattle grids. Lamachan View becomes the quiet single track Moss of Cree road with fantastic views of the estuary and across to Cairnsmore of Fleet. We’ll ride along this road for about 5 miles or as far as the group want to go where we can get some practice avoiding potholes, riding with one hand and reaching for your water bottle (not all at the same time tho!) before turning round and heading back to Newton. Once back on the main road emerging from Lamachan View, this time we will stay on the main road and practice riding in pairs, keeping together as a group and negotiating a roundabout.

As usual, there’ll be plenty of stops to chat, have a drink and take photos.

Helmets are mandatory on all Breeze rides and please bring a tool kit, spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and a drink

First-timers welcome!
