Orbit the Haydon Wick Round

From the Orbital we go North to Pick up the Cycle path alongside thamesdown drive and go west towards Moulden Hill, we then meander through a bit of housing to Akers Way and then follow that until we get to Pinehurst where we join the 20 mph road to Whitworth Ave. Crossing Whitworth and into Pond Street (no longer e real street) with Sevenfilds to our right. A sharp right back towards Penhill and a little climb as we head for Thamesdown drive to turn left and make our way back to the orbital

Come and Join your Ride Leader for this 7.8 mile ride circumnavigating North Swindon. We will be following the Haydon Wick round which is popular with local cyclists and jogger

Over 95% of the route is on cycle paths. a short distance on residentail roads with low speed limits. You can find the route if you grab a copy of the Swindon Cycle Map

No planned cafe stops for refreshments on this short ride, but bring a water bottle with you and we can stop to let you get a drink.

Helmets are recommended but not compulsory. Please bring a spare innner tube, tyre levers and pump suitable for your tube. If you wheels are fixed with nuts please try to bring a spanner which fits them. During the current situation you should also bring a face covering. You will only be required to wear it if it is necessary to administer first aid
