Ivybridge Railway station to South Brent and return

Ivybridge to South Brent and return by a different scenic route in the South Hams – 14 mile return trip
The majority of the ride will be on country lanes with some traffic but you must be confident riding on roads as we go up out of Ivybridge to Bittaford
This route is undulating in places with a steady climb out of Ivybridge and several sharp climbs out of South Brent, Ludbrook and Penquit on the return
All of the route is on road although they are mostly quiet ones. A road bike, electric bike or hybrid bike are suitable for the route
There are no structured stops on this trip as we don’t really go through any civilisation but we will stop at the bottom and top of the hills to make sure we are all together and we will stop for refreshments about half way round and whenever needed!
We will stop about half way round for brief refreshment stop at the top of the hill after South Brent so bring some calories and fluids with you,
Please make sure you bring with you:
*fully checked and working bike (hybrid, road, e-bikes are welcome)
*spare inner tube pump and tools to remove a tyre
* A helmet is a must on this ride
* Appropriate clothing for the weather
We will travel at an easy pace and will never leave anyone behind so come and join us, looking forward to see you on the ride.
I am a fair weather cyclist and will not subject you to a ride in foreseen poor weather and will amend or cancel the ride if necessary
