Balazing Blue Breeze ride from Scunthorpe into the Isle of Axholme, 35 miles

A Blazing Blue Breeze ride from Riddings Leisure Centre, Scunthorpe crossing Keadby Bridge then taking a circular route around some of the Isle of Axholme villages. There will be a stop at the Happy Café, Santoft for refreshments. 34 miles in total with an average speed of 13-14 mph suitable for road bikes. Meet in Riddings Leisure Centre car park at 10 am for the M-check ready to depart at 10:15.

Starting from Riddings Leisure Centre Scunthorpe DN17 2JN we will cross over Keadby Bridge and cycle a circuit of the Isle of Axholme through the villages of Luddington, Eastoft, Crowle and Sandtoft before stopping at the Happy Cafe for refreshments. We will continue through Belton and Beltoft before heading back to Keadby Bridge and returning to the Leisure Centre. The ride is 34 miles in total and we will be aiming for Blazing Blue pace of 13-14 mph average. The roads are generally flat but are exposed to wind so can feel more challenging. Please bring a spare inner tube, pump, and a waterproof outer layer in case of bad weather plus money for the cafe stop.
