Scenic route around the Tyne

Easy flat loop around the Tyne to visit Pedalling Squares cyclists café.

Easy flat ride on good surfaces, 15 mile. Mostly on cycleways with a little bit of quiet road. We travel out on the south side of the Tyne then crossing over Scotswood Bridge and retuning along the Tyne to Newcastle Cycle Hub.

For the safety and enjoyment of all riders please do not pass the leader unless you know the road ahead, watch you don't cross wheels or follow to close, especially downhill sections. Please repeat any warnings given (bollards etc.) shout out stopping if you stop suddenly. check your bike is roadworthy, that you are capable of the route mileage. Bring: helmet, tools, 2 tubes, waterproofs (even in good weather) and lights for your bike, also enough food and drink for hydration and energy.
