Petes Lumpy Canal Ride To Rivington

This is a popular route that Pete Welsh put together for us . Starting at our usual place in Leyland at the Civic Centre , we head out up through Buckshaw village and over to The Leeds and Liverpool Canal , we head past Bottany Bay then eventually leave the canal and head up through Adlington before a steady climb up to Rivington , we will eat at The great Barn , before returning to a slightly different route to the Canal and alternative route back to Leyland , theres some stunning views to be had along the way . Please note, we do not race around , we chat and enjoy the views , average 11 mph overall . Please make sure you check your bikes over the night before the ride and carry a couple of tubes and a means of inflating them .
