A lovely scenic route with varied terrain which takes in some spectacular scenery across Morecambe Bay. The route is varied, mostly flat - with a couple of short hills but no big climbs.

This is a flat scenic route from Denny Beck Lane to Heysham via Bolton-Le-Sands and Morecambe. Elevation: 375ft Ride leaders: Celia Rishton and Val Bourne.

The route is varied and takes in riverside paths, canal towpaths, country lanes, some gravel along the shore, a short spell along a busier road and a promenade. There are a couple of short hills. We return via a disused rail track

At the Red Bank shore we will have a short stop at the Archers Cafe. Booking here is not available so bring your picnic/snacks just in case it's very busy. There are many more cafe venues along the route. We will stop along the way to admire the views across Morecambe Bay which are wonderful. Later we will stop for a short break and explore the historic village of Heysham

Helmets must be worn on this ride. Please arrive 15mins early for bike check and ride briefing. Please ensure your bike is in good working condition the night before and you have spare inner tubes, tyre levers and a pump. Picnics are optional!

We especially welcome newbies!
