Starting point

A pleasant route along the trans pennine trail from Poolsbrook Country Park to Rother Valley Country Park and return. We will take a steady ride along tracks and old railways lines to Rother Valley Country Park with a lap around the lakes before returning. The route is mainly off road, with just a couple of roads to cross. We will stop for tea and cake at some point along the route to catch our breath and have a natter - there's options for this at either Poolbrook or Rother Valley (we are able to extend the ride at the end, if anyone wishes to/feels able).

The route is quite flat (on an old railway line) with no significant hills. Suitable for Hybrid, Trail, Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes

No-one will get left behind, we only go as fast as our slowest rider, with the emphasis on enjoyment.

Please wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather. It is recommended that you carry spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a multi tool, just in case you have any mechanical issues. Please check before the ride, that your bike is in a road worthy condition.

It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments/cake at the café stop.

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended, though not essential.

Hope you can make it.
