A simple canal side route all the way to the stunning Portland Basin museum. We pass alongside cute little cottages, luxurious new houses, a lovely working boatyard and old mills (including a biscuit factory – the smells from here are sooooo yummy!) Bear in mind that I don’t leave anyone behind and am not afraid to get off and walk on any ‘ups’ that get me!
Surface: tarmac, cobbles (canal (11 locks and 2 cobbled hump bridges))
Café stop: Stamford Park
As always, please ensure that you have a helmet (I will not allow riders to participate without one), a lock, puncture repair kit and weather appropriate clothing, it is the English winter after all. Also please bring cash for the café (not sure if they have a card machine),
