This is a ride we did in November last year , not the longest at 26 miles , but starting at Rainford , we head out through Rainford, and over Crank Hill as a warm up , before heading over Shaley Brow , over Billinge Lump (this climb will be done at riders own pace , no rushing , do it at your own comfortable pace , its tough but doable !) if anyone has to get off and walk its no disgrace as this is a tough climb , the steepest part isn't that long though . Use it to set the mark on where you go wrong if you don't make it , then next time it should be a bit easier .
We then head down past the old Billinge hospital site before heading through Up Holland and out down towards Appley Bridge , we then turn left up Lees Lane and eventually emerge over the back of Ashurst , we then head out round Lathom before returning back through Skelmersdale before returning through the Rainford Junction . .
