Starting from - The starting point is a sliproad just off the A570 Rainford Bypass , close to a new Indian Restaurant called Holdi ( formerly Elephant ), ive dropped a pin on google maps where we start from and it comes up as WA117TA , close to 428 Ormskirk Road , Rainford , St Helens . WA11 7TA, WA11 7TA

Starting at Rainford , we head out to crank , then up through billinge , then over shaley brow (the easier way!) before cutting through Kings moss and over Tower Hill into Up Holland , we then head down Roby Mill before turning up onto Ashurst . We eventually go out through Newburgh ,Parbold , and over to Rufford .Then on to Burscough , then to Lathom and over to Westhead before heading out to Aughton ,Melling mount ,Simonswood ,and Bickerstaffe before looping back to Rainford .

This is a challenging ride all on roads around West Lancashire . Just over 46 miles and climbing around 2000ft , a training ride for the forthcoming Willowbrook Ride 45.

mainly back roads and most suited to road bikes hybrids , CX bikes

helmet ,suitable clothing , some money for lunch, inner tubes , a pump , and also a lock

This is a more challenging ride than normal for us , please make sure you are capable of riding the distance , with a few hills involved .
