Starting point

Durham
DL1 4WD

Starting from the Beefeater at Morton Park in Darlington, this ride takes us in an easterly direction, heading through Middleton St. George, Neasham, Girsby and Low Worsall, stopping over at The Grange café at HMP Kirklevington Grange. After our café break, the return ride brings us back via Yarm and Aislaby, before joining up with Middleton St. George again on our trip back to the Beefeater.

This ride is classed as a CHALLENGING ride which is around 25 miles. The ride has some hill climbs. The ride is all on the road or cycleways – all bike types are suitable. It is suitable for riders who are comfortable sustaining around 10mph avg. and can continually cycle for around 2 hours each way. The stopover is usually around 1 hour. Bear in mind these times are a guide and the ride can take longer.

Note: The Grange café is currently closed but is hoping to open very soon and will hopefully be open by the time of our ride. If not, Yarm High St. has plenty of alternative stopping places.
