This is a ride to visit the Green Roof Café (https://thegreenroofcafe.co.uk), which is situated within the stunning countryside of High Elms Country Park. Originally built as a country retreat for the Lubbock family, all that remains today of the mansion are the ornamental gardens and terraces. Charles Darwin lived in the village of Downe and many specimen trees are still evident in the mature woodland.

We meet at the Dulwich Park Cafe and start by cycling to Catford past the Horniman Museum and Forest Hill. We then join the Waterline Way and follow this to Beckenham Place Park, Shortlnad and Bromley. We then join the A21 cycle path, which takes us to Farnborough and High Elms Park, where we stop for a refreshment break at the cafe. We then return to Dulwich via Keston (the source of the Ravensbourn), the country lane Gates Green Road, West Wickham and Beckenham.
