This is a 34 mile return ride to 'Healthy Hornsey' (see https://hornseyhistorical.org.uk/brief-history-hornsey-village/) and Alexandra Palace.

We meet for this ride at Dulwich Clock Cafe in the centre of Dulwich Park and start using the FreeCycle route past Peckham and Burgess Park, which takes us to London Bridge. We then join the A10, which is surprisingly traffic-free and gives us a fast route up past the Geffrye Museum to Clissold Park. We then pass Woodberry Wetlands and go through Finsbury Park We then cycle along the disused railway track called Parkland Walk (https://lookup.london/parkland-walk-abandoned-railway-line/) and climb up to Alexandra Palace, where we stop for a refreshment break.

We then cycle round Alexandra Park and return via the naveless and bell-less Hornsey Church Tower, Lordship Recreation Ground and Downhills Park to London Bridge and then back to Dulwich Park, where the ride finishes.

Ride Leader: Nigel Bee (Tel: 07415 315 690, email: [email protected] ).
