Rolling to Rottingdean - Blazing Blues

We will gather at the Level, before heading along the bike lane on the Lewes Road. We will then cycle up to Falmer where we join a cycle path, which sits above the Falmer Road, before dropping down into Rottingdean through the side roads of Woodingdean. We return along the Undercliff, which is traffic-free.

This is a circular route starting at the Level, heading towards Falmer, then climbing up and over to Rottingdean, returning along the Undercliff. This ride has been categorised as Blazing Blues - for intermediate riders, 15-20 miles, 9-10mph on country lanes with moderate hills

Some of the route will be on roads but there is a recently resurfaced path, parallel to Falmer Road, which we will use to climb up the hill, before dropping down to Rottingdean on quieter side roads. The Undercliff is also traffic free.

We will stop (either in Rottingdean or on the Undercliff) for refreshments

Please give your bike a check over before you leave home. Are the tyres pumped up? Are the gears and brakes working properly? Always carry a spare inner tube, puncture repair kit and a pump, just in case. Please also bring waterproofs in case we get caught in a shower.
