Saddle Up for The Sadleback

Out via Ashbury and Lambourne and onto Great Shefford. A short ride north on the B4494 (Chain Hill) and turning off left for Farnborough and our coffee stop. We rejoin Chain Hill towards Wantage and then pick up the Ashbury road for a few miles to Childrey, then return home via Baulking and Uffington. The good news is that all the Hills are the way out; its easy peazy on the way home.

Country Lanes and B roads

We will be stopping at the Saddleback Farm Shop Cafe in Farnborough nr N Newbury

Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. Ensure you bring a suitable spare inner tube and pump and a spanner for your wheels nuts if necessary. Many cafes are only accepting card payments so don't forget your plastic. Check the weather and wear appropriate clothing.

New comers to the group are always welcome. This ride is quite challenging, average speed around 12 mph. so please consider your experience and fitness levels before signing for the ride
