Saltaire Socialites - Planes, Boats and Bicycles

This 18 mile circular route starts outside All Terrain Cycles, Salts Mill, Saltaire, before heading out of the village. You'll pass Leeds/Bradford airport before heading for the Yeadon Tarn, which has an abundance of wildfowl and is a popular place for sailing. We then head through Yeadon and Guiseley, down Old Hollins Hill passing by the Woolpack pub in Esholt, former location of ITV's Emmerdale, before heading back to the finish in Saltaire.
The route is all on-road and is hilly in places, but with so much to see and do, your efforts will be well-rewarded. A refreshment stop is scheduled, but it's near the end of the ride so it’s a good idea to bring some water, a snack to keep you going and money for if we do stop at a cafe.
All you need is a roadworthy bike, sensible clothing and a bit of enthusiasm. It helps to have a spare inner tube of the correct size - just in case.
